How to find effective

Seen this word alot? “Effective.”  Yup, it’s everywhere.  Yet, without some form of measurement with it, “effective” doesn’t mean much.  In thinking about effective as it relates to communication, it’s wise to start at the business goals. From there communications goals can be developed. And, then the all important communication objectives form. Make them SMART — specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-based.

Now is the time to prepare

It’s being said that people and companies are “hunkering down” lately. They’re turning inside to cut costs and protect themselves. The outside is changing though. When things turn around, it will be different.

 

Now is the time to position a company. Be visible. There’s less clutter to get through with your relevant and timely messages. Stay in touch with your customers. Those companies that take this time to prepare will be on top when things do turn-around.

 

Now is the time to learn and plan.
